WELCOME STUDENTS!
I am delighted to be part of the Teton High School staff here in beautiful Driggs, Idaho. This is my ninth year at THS, and I am excited and honored to have you in my class(es). My goal is to help each of you understand business concepts, gain computer skills, and encourage you to learn something NEW! Taking business classes will help prepare you for the real-world so you don't feel left behind of our ever-growing technological society. Challenge yourself and take a business course that will help increase your knowledge and technical skills. Become Microsoft Office Certified and be ready for the 21st century. If you enjoy project-based learning and want to learn something NEW, this is the right course for you. Other courses I have taught include: Desktop Publishing, Fashion Merchandising, Business Marketing, Hospitality and Tourism, and Multimedia.
I am also the adviser for Business Professionals of America (BPA). I encourage any student who is interested in joining this club, please contact me. I know you weigh the extracurricular activities that are available to you, and determine what opportunities will offer you the most growth and experiences. My goal for you in BPA, is to help prepare you for the workforce through leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. You will be excited about competitions, earning rewards, certifications and most importantly, you will have gained business skills necessary for the future.
PHILOSOPHY
What I love most about teaching is watching students grow and mature in their learning. Every day students are challenged to learn something new. Taking business classes will encourage students to be creative, share ideas, apply decision-making skills, receive certification, gain leadership experience and challenge themselves academically and professionally.
I enjoy bringing real-world connections right into the classroom where students are free to question, explore, and expand their curious minds. Teaching essential workplace readiness skills will help to prepare our students for the real world so they can be successful leaders within their local communities.
I love where I work and enjoy watching students succeed both in and outside of the classroom. All students are uniquely different, eager to learn, and it's rewarding to teach their beautiful minds and watch them grow in their learning.
